Our New Table

Jeff and I decided to buy a table yesterday. We had one previously but it only fit 4 people uncomfortably. We usually had only two chairs around it then when we would have guests over we would bust out the hard metal fold out chairs and then if there were a 5th person bring down the computer desk chair. So we were looking for something that could at least fit 6 but no more than 8 and I was wanting a counter height table because well I like the look of them and I felt it would go well with our kitchen.

So here she is!

We found it on craigslist for what I felt was a good price (hence I bought it) and it came with 8 chairs, 4 wooden, 4 leather and we are able to keep two that aren't being used at the counter in the living room. Another reason I wanted counter height. It has a leaf in the middle that folds and stores underneath so when we have our bigger parties where we need more standing room I can pull some chairs out and fold it closer to the wall! Just Kidding I don't have parties. But we will have Game Nights!

A Few Things

Here are a few random pictures of what Jeff and I have been up to.

On Saturday I had to go downtown to do a brides hair for her wedding at the Westin Riverwalk Hotel. Jeff came with me and after I was done with my work we walked around the Riverwalk and ate at the Rainforest Cafe.

It was a good date night that ended up with us getting home around 6 and as soon as I sat down on the couch I fell asleep until 7:30 which then we started the movie we rented. Then I had no problem going back to sleep as soon as is was over. The reason I was so tired is because the night before we went camping with our friends and only got maybe a few hours of good sleep. We had a really great time though. We brought two tents and the sight had a table and a spot for a camp fire where we cooked foil dinners and roasted marshmallows. Then after our friends kids were asleep the four of us stayed up talking for hours and it was a lot of fun. Even some raccoon's wanted to join our party.  ;-)

Father's Day we were invited to go to Peter and Jens house to have dinner and celebrate dads and I made the dessert. Here is the Angel food Cake with the delicious toppings to go with it.

Jeff's Grandfather recently learned that I love to do puzzles so he sent me a package in the mail with these two puzzles. Iv'e already completed the quilt one on the left and I am waiting a little longer to do the other one because to me these are like Pringles. Once you pop, you can't stop. But i'm excited to start it when I do!

And here is a funny picture of The Bird where we discovered his new favorite spot in the house. The pantry where I set up a few boxes to make a maze. Sometimes when I am holding him he will start to reach for the pantry and when I set him down on the shelf its often hard to get him back because as soon as he is out on the edge like in this picture, I put my hand up to grab him and he sneaks right back in.
